Egypt is the ancient Biblical country that found its life-source around the Nile River.  It was known as the land of the Pharoahs.  It's also known to the ancient Israelites as the "land of Moses," for it was from this land of temples and pyramids that God delivered His people.  The "Exodus" and the miracle of "Pesach" (Passover) serves as the foundation for the substitutional sacrifice of Christ.
