There is so very much to learn about the Bible, and a significant way of gaining insights into the Scriptures is to understand its land and it s culture. That is why traveling to Israel makes such a wonderful impact upon the lives of those who invest in such a trip.
When people sign up for the tour, I am glad to send 2 primary resources: A 130 page Guide Book, highlighting the historical, biblical, and archaeological background of each site we'll visit; and an "Interactive" Guide booklet. Click on the button to see the PDF version of this resource. The other resource, Regions on the Run, is a resource produced by Steve Lancaster and Jim Monson (my former professor in Jerusalem). It is featured below.
Two additional resources that may help you understand the culture and setting of the life of Christ are listed below. Click below for these 2 resources. The first helps define the key "terminologies" of the 1st century A.D. The second resources is a 50 page paper entitled, "A Hebraic Background of Jesus"
The latest resource is created by Steve Lancaster and Jim Monson called "Regions on the Run." It is the VERY BEST way to learn the historical geography of the land of the Bible. You can order the best computerized maps there are also along with this outstanding resource. It will help you study the Bible in the 'context of the land' like no other resource can! (For those traveling with me on tour, this wonderful resource is offered complementary. It is a MUST resource while traveling in Israel. It will assist greatly in helping you understand the regions of the Bible!).

Also, given the importance of the "ethnic Israel" today, I wrote a paper that will help you appreciate the biblical context for conversation that may arise concerning both the historical and modern perspectives of the role of Israel. The paper combats what has been called "Replacement Theology," a faulty belief that the 'Church' has replaced "ethnic Israel" today, voiding any role in God's redemptive plan for Israel.
